What are Por Jor 1 and Por Jor 2 crane inspections in Thailand?

Under Thai law, Por Jor 1 (ปจ.1) covers fixed cranes such as overhead, gantry, jib and tower cranes, and Por Jor 2 (ปจ.2) covers mobile cranes mounted on vehicles. Both must be inspected and load-tested by a mechanical engineer at intervals set by rated capacity and use; for example, a crane in non-construction work rated above 3 tons and up to 50 tons is inspected every 6 months. What is the difference between an overhead crane and a gantry crane?

An overhead crane runs on rails fixed to beams or the building structure, so it keeps the floor clear and is used mainly indoors. A gantry crane stands on its own legs and runs on rails at floor level, so it suits outdoor yards and buildings without crane columns. Both come in single-girder and double-girder designs. What is the difference between on-grid, off-grid and hybrid solar systems?

An on-grid system uses solar and utility power together without a battery and pays back fastest at sites that use most of their power in the daytime. An off-grid system is not connected to the utility and suits remote locations. A hybrid system adds a battery to store surplus power for use after dark, but costs more and pays back more slowly. Then choose a charger with built-in safety protection from a reputable maker, installed by professionals. Read the full article
